Har har har! I forgot the rule on capitalizing short words in a title! So I capped them all. [Although I don't think 'is' should be...]

Um...yeah. This is a picture of how I'm feeling now, inside my brain. It's all muddled and confused and sad and angsty, and I'm inside, trying to hold up the pieces to the light and figure out what's up.

It's all black and white. There is no Grey. There is no room for Grey, because Grey is dangerous and lulling in it's cloying ways. Grey has the power to tear people apart, and this is why there is no room for it in me.

All Black and White.

Only Black and White.

Back when my mom was having marital problems, we [my brother and I] had to go see a shrink. [I don't get it either...] He was an artist and tried to connect to me through that. He had me do pictures of what I thought concepts like 'fear' and 'anger' looked like, and I gave him a bunch of abstract color and shape collages filtered in Photoshop. He really liked my 'fear' one and kept it. [He claimed he could see angry wolf heads and things like that in there; some of the shapes DID look a bit like wolf heads, but they weren't intentional...]
Anyway, I was thinking about how you can get that feeling like you have a rock stuck in your shoe, but it's inside your head. I started thinking about how that would translate into an image, and this came out.
I just did the one side, then flipped the image and inverted it to get the effect.

Time: 4 1/2 hours
Medium: Opencanvas to draw it, Photoshop to duplicate and invert it.

***E-Cookies for anyone who can identify this art technique. [I think they teach this in Basic Design classes...]***
